As I think back on my memories at Stockbridge First Baptist, I’m taken back to my days as a youth. I remember my Sunday School teachers who were so faithful in sharing Jesus. I remember a Sunday night in May of 1969, when I stepped out in faith and gave my life to Christ.
I remember how the Lord used our recreational facilities to minister to our community. I remember all the friends who have had such a wonderful impact on my life. It’s such a joy to recall all those who have loved and still love Janice and me, our children and our grandchildren; you have given them a solid foundation built on Jesus Christ and we are blessed.
It never ceases to amaze me at what Jesus has done for our body of believers; He has time and time again met our needs. I’ve seen prayer warriors on bended knees; some who need help in standing back up after praying and giving thanks.
My hope is that we will always be ‘on mission’; that our church will continue to love our community and those who come through our doors here at FBC. I pray that we will go and be ambassadors for Christ. That we will continue to worship in one accord and that we will live out
I Thessalonians 5:18-22 which says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good and reject every kind of evil.”
Thanks be to God,
Randall Patterson
