Where people gather to worship, share and learn… A growing church serving a growing community

Mission Statement – as a family of believers in Jesus Christ, we exist to exalt God’s greatness in Worship, Evangelize God’s world in evangelism and missions, equip God’s people in maturity and for ministry, and express God’s love to one another, to our community, our continent, and the countries of the world.

Our church was founded on September 1, 1917 with 18 members and currently has 111.  We are a member of the Henry Association of Baptist Churches, the Georgia Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

FBC helped establish Ellenwood First Baptist, Jodeco Baptist Church and North Henry Baptist Church and continues to contribute to mission churches in our county.  Some of our current ministries include growing children and student ministry, choir and orchestra, academy for K-2 – K-5, recreation ministry, mission trips expanding to include Global missions, food pantry, clothes closet, ministry to a homeless shelter, shelter for women and children, ministry to a local Care Pregnancy Center, support of local YMCA, and hosting a local CUB Scout Pack, Senior Adult ministry and Women and Men’s ministry.

We are currently using a worship center that seats approximately 1,000 people.  Our church is committed to reaching out to our growing community and providing for the future.
